Behind a classical Madrid façade, Españoleto 11 has been brought back to life with a complete, ground-up renovation — original mouldings and herringbone oak meeting a quietly modern, sustainable hand.
Españoleto 11 occupies an entire south-facing floor of a classical Madrid building on Calle de El Españoleto. The original architecture — tall French balconies, plaster mouldings, herringbone oak floors — has been carefully preserved and restored.
Around it, the apartment has been completely re-built: new electrics, plumbing, climate control, joinery, kitchens and bathrooms, all designed and detailed by nune. The result is a residence that feels both faithful to its period and entirely contemporary.
Wherever possible, sustainable, non-toxic and low- or zero-VOC materials were specified — from finishes and adhesives to paints and joinery.
